I’m new, I want to join!
Great! But first, please read our Constitution and Rules. Note that:
New Member applications will be approved/declined by the Committee. The Committee reserve the right to refuse entry without giving a reason. The Club will not approve Prefix requests from new members. Members must be a member of the Club for a minimum of 2 consecutive, full years before applying for a Prefix.

The easiest way to apply is to use our online Membership Application form. Our Membership Fees are shown below.
If you prefer, you can either download and complete our Fillable Word Form, or download and complete our PDF New Members Form. Once you have filled a form in, either send it back with our secure Contact form (you can attach a file) or post it to the address on the form.
The Committee will review your Application, and you will be notified of the outcome.
Please do not pay until you have received confirmation of acceptance. Then pay the appropriate Fee (see below). We prefer you to pay by BACs but if you have to pay by cheque, please make it payable to ‘Edinburgh and East of Scotland Cat Club’ and send it to the address on the form.

How do I renew my membership?
Renewing your membership is easy. Simply pay your fees by BACs using ‘SUBS’ plus your name as the reference. The Membership Year is 1st January to 31st December.
Renewals are due on the 1st January and if you haven’t renewed by March 31st, your membership is deemed to have lapsed.

How do I apply for a Prefix?
All members are required to be a member of the Club for a minimum of two consecutive full years before applying for a Prefix. We trust you understand that this is to protect the integrity of the Club and the GCCF.
How do I join the Committee?
The Club welcome applications from Members. Simply download either our Fillable Word Form or our PDF Committee Application Form, fill it in and return it via our Contact form. Your application will be discussed at the next committee meeting and you will be advised if it has been approved or declined. New members can be co-opted to the Committee, and are required to be nominated for election at the next AGM.
If you have been a Committee Member for a least one year, you can apply for an Officer Role when vacancies arise. Again, you need to be nominated for election at the next AGM.

I/we wish to join the Edinburgh & East of Scotland Cat Club.
I/We agree to abide by the rules of the Club and those of the GCCF.
I/we understand that:
- The Membership Year runs from January 1st to December 31st;
- That renewals are due on the 1st January;
- That if we join part-way through the year our renewals are still due on the next 1st January;
- That if we do not renew in by March 31st, our Membership lapses until such time as we do renew.
The Edinburgh & East of Scotland Cat Club will store and use your personal data for the purposes of administering the club and your involvement in club activities. The data will be collected and processed in accordance with the Edinburgh & East of Scotland Cat Club Privacy Policy.
