Welfare

Breeders

Whilst not all our Breeder members will belong to the GCCF’s Breeder Scheme, we strongly advise them to work to its standard of ethics, or better. We also advise that all kittens are not only at least 13 weeks old, registered, wormed and vaccinated (as required by the GCCF’s Code of Ethics) when they leave, but that they are microchipped, and any not being bought by another breeder are neutered before they leave their breeder.

Rescue and rehoming

There are various cat rescue shelters located around Edinburgh and the Lothians if you are looking to adopt a cat.

Retired Breeding Cats

We strongly advise all former breeding cats are and neutered before rehoming.
